Community Youth (Ages 12-30 Yrs Old) Invitation to experience song writing with Juno Award Winner, Derek Miller on Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 14, 2026 from 10AM-3PM.

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, join us for an inspiring evening of music, creativity, and community as we celebrate the talented youth who will participate in the Sheguiandah First Nation Songwriting Camp with award-winning musician Derek Miller.

Community members are warmly invited to attend the Community BBQ and special live presentation by the Derek Miller Band on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

Over two days, our youth will have the opportunity to learn about songwriting, music, and creative expression alongside Derek Miller. The camp will conclude with a community celebration where participants will share in the experience they have created and enjoy an unforgettable musical performance.

This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, support our youth, and celebrate Indigenous music, culture, and creativity. We encourage everyone families, Elders, and community members of all ages to come out and enjoy an evening of food, music, and connection.

Elders Picnic & Gathering!

Sheguiandah First Nation warmly invites our Elders and community members to join us for a wonderful day of laughter, music, friendship, and celebration at our annual Elders Picnic & Gathering!

Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Sheguiandah Powwow Grounds

This year’s theme is “Teddy Bears” so don’t forget to bring your favourite teddy bear! There will also be a decorated hat parade (bring your own hat if you’d like, we do have a limited number of hats available on-site).

Enjoy a day filled with:

* Delicious lunch provided
* Prize Chip Bingo (limited chips available)
* Music, games, and community fellowship

We are honoured to have MC Gimaa Kwe Pearl Waindubence joining us to help make this gathering a memorable occasion.

Those individuals or families who request The Good Food Box...plz contact the Health Centre and ask for Maretta...we did stop in at your home address and some where not home. If it needs to be delievered please let reception know, long with a phone number. It will be dropped off tomorrow.
