💚 World Su***de Prevention Day — 10 September 💙

Today is a reminder that a simple conversation can make a difference.

Check in with someone.
Listen without judgement.
Be kind.
Reach out.
Let people know they matter.

You never know what someone might be carrying behind their smile. Sometimes, simply asking “Are you okay?” can be the start of something important.

Here are some local events taking place in Norfolk.

Let’s keep the conversation going.
Let’s remind each other that hope lives here.

💚 September is Su***de Prevention Month 💙

Sometimes, you never know what someone is carrying behind a smile.

A simple “Are you okay?”, a listening ear, or letting someone know you’re there can make a bigger difference than you realise.

This month, let’s make space for honest conversations. Let’s check in with the people we care about and remember to look after ourselves too.

- You are not alone.
- Your life matters.
- It’s okay to ask for help.
- It’s okay to not be okay.

If you’re struggling, please reach out for support. In the UK, you can call Samaritans on 116 123, contact NHS 111 and select option 2, or text SHOUT to 85258.

Let’s talk. Let’s listen. Let’s look out for one another.

Back to school can be an expensive time for families, but you don’t have to manage it all alone.

If you’re a parent in Norfolk and you’re worried about the cost of school uniforms, clothes or getting your child to school, there is support available.

We’ve put together some useful local organisations and services that may be able to help with school transport, uniforms and essential school clothing.

- Save this post for later
- Share it with another parent who might find it useful
- And remember - asking for support is nothing to be embarrassed about.

Let’s make going back to school a little easier for Norfolk families.

Please check eligibility and availability directly with each organisation, as support can vary.

Recovery is possible. 💚💙

Mental health challenges can make it difficult to see a way forward, but recovery doesn’t have to happen all at once. It can be made up of small steps, difficult days, unexpected progress and moments of hope.

Everyone’s recovery journey is different and there is no right or wrong way to heal. What matters is knowing that you are not alone, your experiences matter, and brighter days are possible.

Sometimes recovery means moving forward. Sometimes it means taking a step back, asking for help, or simply getting through today. Every step counts.

Let’s continue to listen, support one another and remind people that recovery is possible.

Recovery. Hope. Growth. A better tomorrow.
