Sometimes, the most meaningful moments happen when someone is willing to go a little bit above and beyond.

Today, our wonderful bus driver rolled up his pants and stepped right into the water at the waterfront in Oakville so that one of our senior residents could enjoy a special walk along the shoreline.

It’s moments like this that remind us that person-centred care is about so much more than a schedule or an outing—it’s about creating opportunities, meeting people where they are, and making memories together.

A huge thank you to our incredible bus driver Jagdeep for saying, “Absolutely!” and making this moment possible. ❤️

Meet Tiago, our incredibly realistic therapy doll who regularly visits our Memory Care floors.

Tiago looks and feels like a real baby—and watching our residents interact with him is truly something special. 🥹

Look at how naturally that gentle, parental love comes out. The instinct to nurture, cuddle, soothe, and protect is still so deeply rooted within us, regardless of age or cognitive changes.

For some of our residents, Tiago brings back memories of raising their own children. For others, he simply offers an opportunity to care for, connect with, and show affection to something that feels familiar and meaningful.

It’s a beautiful reminder that the ability to love never leaves us. ❤️

Sometimes the tables get turned… and today was Denise’s turn! 🎁😂

While our Executive Director, Denise, was out of the office, our residents got to work on a little surprise. They wrapped everything in her office with colourful wrapping paper—from her desk and computer right down to her open can of soda water!

Needless to say, Denise came back to quite the welcome!

A huge thank you to our community partners Access Abilities who supported us with our walker wash and tune up event at Oakville Estates. We had the pleasure of Jeff Knoll joining us as we raised over $100 in lemonade sales! All proceeds will be going to the Canadian Cancer Society
