Ever wondered how we measure eye pressure without the puff of air?

This is the iCare tonometer; a quick, gentle way to measure your intraocular pressure (IOP), an important part of screening for conditions like glaucoma.

Here’s how it works:
1. A tiny, lightweight probe briefly touches the surface of your eye for a fraction of a second.
2. The device measures how the probe rebounds after contact.
3. That rebound tells us your eye pressure; no air puff, no numbing drops, and most patients barely feel it.

The entire test takes just seconds, but the information it provides is invaluable for protecting your vision.

Meet Dr. Hassan Hazari 👋

We’re excited to introduce Dr. Hassan Hazari, a comprehensive ophthalmologist with fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus.

After completing his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at Queen’s University, where he served as Chief Resident, Dr. Hazari went on to complete his fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto. He continues to care for patients as a Clinical Associate Ophthalmologist while remaining actively involved in medical education and research.

Known for his compassionate, patient-focused approach, Dr. Hazari is dedicated to helping patients of all ages achieve their best possible vision. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys painting, drawing, running, and spending time outdoors with his family.

Meet Dr. Taylor Lukasik 👋

Dr. Taylor Lukasik is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, cataract, and advanced anterior segment surgery. After completing his ophthalmology residency at the University of Toronto, he pursued advanced fellowship training under the mentorship of Dr. Ike Ahmed, gaining expertise in complex glaucoma and cataract procedures.

Passionate about personalized care, Dr. Lukasik works closely with each patient to create treatment plans tailored to their vision, lifestyle, and goals. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.
