🇨🇦Every Year on July 1st, to commemorate the lives lost during the First and Second World Wars, as well as modern conflicts around the world, Oakview quietly places the Canadian flag on the graves of the men and women, privates and generals alike, who bravely and selflessly gave their lives for our country.

For close to 30 years, Oakview Funeral Home has carried out this tribute of placing hundreds of flags in at least eight cemeteries across the community each year. Last year, we placed just over 420 flags!

We are forever grateful to all who gave their lives in service for Canada.🍁 🙏
