Let’s talk NUTRITION for Pregnancy and Postpartum
We all know the basis of human existence is through proper diet, hydration, sunlight and sleep.
Many factors contribute to having a healthy pregnancy and nutrition is one of them I like to touch on.
Having a balanced diet that incorporates all the food groups, plenty of water and vitamins is key.
When people tell me the last thing they want to do is eat when they are dealing with morning sickness and feeling blah - my go to things are small snacks that lack the nutrients or even a fruit smoothie. ANYTHING is better than nothing.
Through my pregnancy journeys I always found I was hungry more in the night time- but then in turn I would be up half the night. Small snacks during the day with plenty of fluids is how I made it through some of the toughest patches of morning sickness .
Generally speaking it’s good to do your research if you are unsure of things to eat and not eat.
Food is fuel…….
