A service celebrating the life of Councillor Marc Grant will take place on August 8 at 11a.m., in the Town Hall Main Atrium, offering an opportunity for family, friends, colleagues, members of Council and the community to pay their respects and reflect on Councillor Grant’s life and service to Oakville.

The family has requested that guests wear something purple.

Today marks the end of an incredible career as Captain Jason Raymond, Badge #204, finishes his final shift with Oakville Fire.🚒

Captain Raymond began his career in 1996, dedicating nearly three decades to protecting our community with professionalism, leadership, and unwavering commitment.

On behalf of your brothers and sisters of the Oakville Professional Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 1582, thank you for your years of dedicated service. Your contributions to our department and our community will not be forgotten.

In Memory of Councillor Marc Grant

The members of the Oakville Professional Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 1582, extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, fellow members of the Town of Oakville, and everyone mourning the passing of Ward 5 Councillor Marc Grant, who passed away on Monday, July 27, following a sudden illness.

We are grateful for his 23 years of dedicated service to the Town of Oakville and the community. His commitment to public service and to making Oakville a better place will be remembered by many.

Our thoughts are with all those mourning this loss. May he rest in peace. 🕊️🌹

The work of a firefighter extends far beyond the emergency call.
It takes commitment, discipline, and countless hours of ongoing training to be ready for the moments when our community depends on us.

Today’s training focus was auto extrication, sharpening the skills, teamwork, and techniques needed to safely reach patients when time is of the essence.

We’re proud of the men and women who wear the uniform and continue to answer the call every day.
