I have very unique credentials, such as being a NLP Practitioner, Transformation Specialist and Hormone Health Specialist, giving me the ability to help get clients through the changes we experience as women as well as help ditch limiting beliefs and create healthy habits that stick. I'm not void of body issues; physically, mentally and emotionally. After 31 years in the Health & Fitness industry, that’s what helped me and encouraged me to evolve to health coaching.

Every year that spinning wheel gets a little longer. 😂

It's one of those funny little reminders that yes... we're getting older.

But what if every spin wasn't just counting years?

What if it represented every lesson you've learned, every challenge you've overcome, every experience that shaped you, and every version of yourself you've grown through along the way?

We spend so much time focusing on what aging is taking away that sometimes we forget everything it's given us.

We can't stop time, and we certainly can't stop that damn wheel from getting longer. 😂

But we can change how we see the years it's counting.

And honestly? I wouldn't trade everything those years have taught me just to make the scroll shorter.

There's something we don't talk about enough as women. 🤔

The grief that can come with getting older.

Not because we're weak.

Because change asks us to let go.

➡️We miss the body we once had. ➡️The confidence we thought we lost.
➡️The version of ourselves that felt limitless.

So we spend years trying to become her again.

I've realized something that has changed the way I see aging.

MAYBE WE WERE NEVER MEANT TO GO BACK! 🙌🏻

Maybe every challenge, every disappointment, every lesson, and every season has been preparing us to become someone our younger selves couldn't have imagined.

Hormones matter. Nutrition matters. Exercise matters.

But none of them can change the story we tell ourselves. 👈🏻

If we believe aging is the beginning of the end, we'll experience it that way.

If we choose to see it as another chapter of growth, purpose, wisdom, and possibility, we'll start showing up differently. 💓

We can't change that we're aging.

But we can change how we experience it.

Maybe becoming her begins the moment we stop chasing who we used to be... and start embracing who we're becoming.

Bronze medal in my age group! 🥉

This race actually felt really good, and for the first time in a while I could really feel the improvements. While I didn't hit the exact time I was aiming for because of a strained hip flexor, I'm proud that I got to the start line, gave it everything I had, and came away feeling like I accomplished exactly what I needed to.

Every race teaches you something, and I learned a lot this weekend.

Now it's time for a short break until September to let my body recover and focus on strengthening my hip flexor, adductors, core, lower legs, and my end-range strength coming out of the blocks. Sometimes the biggest improvements happen when you step back, rebuild, and come back stronger.

I couldn't ask for better teammates or a better track community. Thank you to everyone who made the Canadian Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Laval, Quebec such an amazing experience.

I can't wait for the new season and to see what more improvement is ahead! 💙🏃‍♀️

I recently had the opportunity to join Dr. Shawna Darou, ND, on her podcast, Unstoppable at Any Age... and honestly, she had me at the title. 😬 Shawna Darou, ND

I'm so grateful she gave me the space to share my story. We talked about my journey, from starting in the health and fitness industry at a young age to navigating the different decades of life, competition, setbacks, and everything I've learned along the way. It was such a meaningful conversation, and one I'm really proud to share.

One of my favourite takeaways from our conversation was this:

"If your plan only works on your best days, it probably won't work long term."

So many people think they have to be perfect. They think they have to eat perfectly, work out the same way every day, and never miss a beat. But life happens. We get sick, plans change, work gets busy, and sometimes we just don't have it in us.

That doesn't mean we throw the whole day away.

Instead of saying, "Screw it, I'll start again in a few days," ask yourself, "What's one thing I can still do for myself today?"

Maybe it's having a healthy breakfast. Maybe it's going for a short walk. Maybe it's drinking more water.

It doesn't have to be everything. It just has to be something.🙏🏻

Those small actions are what build consistency, and consistency is what leads to lasting change.

Your timeline. Your pace. 🌿

So many of us stay stuck because we think everything has to be perfect before we begin.

"I'm not fit enough to join a gym."
Which is exactly why you'd join one.

"I missed a week, so I failed."
No... you had a week where life happened.

"This plan isn't working."
Maybe. Or maybe you just haven't given it enough time.

We put ourselves in boxes based on how we look, what we've done in the past, or how many times we've "failed."

The truth is, life isn't one straight line. We all stop. We all get off track. We all have setbacks.

The people who succeed aren't the ones who never stop.

They're the ones who keep starting again.

Not because they're more motivated. Not because they have more discipline.

Because they stopped believing that one setback meant the end of the story.

Start late. Start unsure. Start after a bad week. Start after a bad month.

Just... start again.

❤️ Progress isn't built by being perfect. It's built by refusing to let all-or-nothing thinking decide your future.

When I joined a Masters Track Club at 54, I thought I was just signing up to sprint. 🏃🏻‍♀️

What I didn't expect was how much it would change the way I see myself.

For years, especially working in the fitness industry, I felt like my value was tied to how I looked. As women, we're often taught that our appearance is our currency. 🎯

Track changed that.🙏🏻

Today, I focus less on how my body looks and more on how it moves, feels, recovers, and performs. Instead of forcing my body to fit a certain image, I'm learning to work with it. Ironically, that's when positive changes started happening naturally.

The community has been one of the biggest gifts.🏆

I've been part of fitness environments where people were judged by their appearance and leanness. This is the opposite. People support each other, share advice, celebrate progress, and genuinely want to see one another succeed.

Nobody cares if you're the fastest. Nobody cares what you look like.

They care that you show up. 🤜🏻🤛🏻

And it's incredibly inspiring to train alongside people in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s who continue to compete and challenge themselves. They remind me every week that aging isn't about decline. It's about adaptation.✨

There was a time during perimenopause when I could barely recover from workouts. I wasn't sure I'd ever feel strong again. What I've learned is that our bodies can recalibrate when we give them time, patience, and the support they need.

Instead of fighting my body, I've learned to trust it.❤️

That shift has changed everything!

Starting a sport in midlife can be just as powerful. ❤️

For me, starting sprinting has been a game changer. Not because of the times on the clock, but because of what it's taught me about myself, what I'm capable of, and how much more there is to discover when you stop worrying about being perfect and start showing up. 💪🏻

Do women ever fully talk about the emotional side of aging? 🤔

Not the “age gracefully” quotes. Not the anti-aging marketing. Not the filtered version.

The real version.✨

Because if I’m honest, aging can feel hard sometimes.

I think women experience it differently in a lot of ways because so much of our value in society has been tied to youth, beauty, fertility, desirability, sexuality… all of it. 💯

And whether people want to admit it or not, you feel those shifts as you age.

I can’t have babies anymore. I weigh more than I used to. I have wrinkles I never had before. And sometimes it feels like we live in a world obsessed with staying young forever. 😵‍💫

Meanwhile women are quietly trying to figure out who they are now.

What’s strange is that at the exact same time, I’m actually happier with myself than I’ve ever been. 💃🏻

I like who I am now. I value depth more. Connection more. Real relationships more.

Intimacy to me now feels less about performance and more about feeling emotionally safe, understood, connected, and truly known by the people around me. ❤️

I think that’s one of the biggest shifts aging has brought me.

And maybe that’s the part we don’t talk about enough: Aging can feel painful and beautiful at the same time.🎯
