Last year we had 504,662 PSW visits, which is the most ever in our history!

This is one of many milestones celebrated at our Community Update last night, and we want to thank everyone who came out to hear about our recent endeavors, learn about what's coming down the road, and mingle with slushies and healthy snacks!

We love a good excuse to dance, and here are some other milestones that got us moving last night:
• 153,499 nursing visits +8% over last year
• We provided more dementia care than ever
• Tech Cafes were expanded across Halton

Do you know how many older adults in your life are lonely? The number might be higher than you think. In a Canadian Social Survey, over 50% of Canadian older adults reported feelings of loneliness in 2023.

In honour of Loneliness Awareness Week, we invite you to join our mission to reduce social isolation and disconnection in our community.

Make a difference today by doing one of the following with an older adult in your life:
1. Say hello or have a conversation.
2. Go for coffee or a meal together.
3. Go for a walk together in nature.
4. Enjoy time with a hobby or interest.

You can also apply to volunteer in our Friendly Visiting Program, where you can visit an older adult weekly to provide invaluable companionship. Incredible friendships have formed in this program.
