Sets of reverse flys, squats, and tennis elbow movement snacks are on the menu today.

It's easy to get overwhelmed with all of the requirements for trying to live well with an EDS body. For my physical care I often like to pick one of my pathologies or most painful parts of my body and try to help that feel better, and intersperse that with some general mini workouts like this one.

It helps to keep things bite sized.

Pretty simple stuff today!

1. PNF patterns for nerve glide and general exploration from the shoulder down

2. rice bucket work to work the forearm muscles, and explore from the hand up

3. ulnar and radial deviation for some resistance that my elbow actually likes

A ball, a band and a bucket of rice.

Metolius Climbing makes a bunch of stuff for hand training and rehab.

Pull-up assistance bands and other resistance bands are great, and cheaper than they've ever been.

You can even just fill a bag or bucket with rice or just about any other inexpensive grain.

It doesn't have to take much...

Bits and pieces to connect the dots!

I don't really have the fuel for big workout sessions, but I can do mini ones between patients!

A ball, a band, a seat and a step.

You don't need much.

DND & Doctors: A match that needs to be made 😍

It sure would be nice if people in healthcare realized their patients are their peers.

Who needs finger nails when you're hyper mobile?

Autistic regression...?

POTS or (you can just call it POTS, it's okay) is a dysfunction of vascular compensation.

When we go vertical from seated or laying, the blood pressure in our head drops unless our blood vessels can contract in a timely manner. If not, we'll often see signs consistent with or fainting. With POTS, we see the presence of tachycardia, or a rapid heartbeat in response to the sudden drop in intracranial pressure. We couldn't find symptoms of that with my previous cardiologist, but the testing wasn't exactly meticulous.

It's fun! Every day is an adventure!
