🦋 Our Monarch Butterfly Journey Comes Full Circle 🦋

What an incredible experience this has been!

Over the past several weeks, our residents have had the opportunity to witness the amazing transformation of monarch butterflies—from tiny caterpillars, to chrysalises, and finally to beautiful butterflies ready to take flight.

Today, we were thrilled to see one of our monarchs enjoying the flowers on our patio after its release. Seeing these delicate creatures spread their wings and begin their next adventure has been a wonderful reminder of the beauty, resilience, and wonder found in nature.

🦋 Butterfly Update! 🦋

We have exciting news—three of our monarch butterflies have emerged! 🎉

Over the past few weeks, our residents have enjoyed watching these amazing creatures transform from tiny caterpillars into beautiful butterflies. Seeing them spread their wings for the first time has been a wonderful experience for everyone.

It's been a fascinating journey filled with anticipation, learning, and a little bit of magic. We still have a few more chrysalises to watch, so the adventure isn't over yet!

Today, we'd like to recognize 2 very special young community members!

The grandchildren of one of our dedicated staff members recently organized a bake sale in support of Mariposa House Hospice and raised an incredible $4,000 for this important local cause.

We were proud to join in the effort, with our residents and team contributing $500 toward the fundraiser.

This achievement is a wonderful example of kindness, generosity, and community spirit. We are so inspired by the hard work and compassion shown in supporting families and individuals receiving care through Mariposa House Hospice.

Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment, and thank you to everyone who helped make a difference! ❤️

🍭😎Yesterday, we received a SUPER SPECIAL donation from two incredible local kids, Everly & Easton Burnett (ages 9 & 6)🍭😎!

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, they held a bake sale and raised an amazing $4,000 for Mariposa House Hospice! 🍪🥧🧁

Inspired by their grandma, Wendy Savage, a local RPN, and their mom, Alex Burnett, Everly and Easton are learning the importance of giving back to their community at such a young age. Their kindness and generosity have made a lasting impact here at MHH, and we know they'll one day look back with pride at what they accomplished.

As if raising $4,000 wasn't incredible enough, their donation will now be matched by the JBS Foundation in support of our Capital Expansion Campaign, doubling the impact of their hard work!

Thank you so much to Wendy, Alex, Everly, Easton, and everyone who supported their bake sale. Your generosity reminds us just how amazing this community truly is. 💜🧡

🦋 Butterfly Update! 🦋

Something exciting is happening in our butterfly habitat! One of our monarch chrysalises has turned dark and transparent, which means a butterfly is getting ready to emerge very soon.

If you look closely, you can already see the beautiful orange and black wings through the chrysalis. Our residents have been eagerly checking in each day, watching this incredible transformation unfold before their eyes.

Nature's miracles are on full display, and we can't wait to welcome our newest monarch butterfly into the world! Stay tuned for the next chapter of this amazing journey. 🧡🖤

Our monarchs are growing up!

We've loved watching these tiny caterpillars transform right before our eyes. From munching on milkweed to hanging in their beautiful chrysalises, their journey has been nothing short of amazing.

We're getting a front-row seat to one of nature's most incredible transformations!

Our residents have been enjoying watching monarch caterpillars grow, form their chrysalises, and begin their journey to becoming beautiful monarch butterflies. It's been such a special experience to observe each stage of their life cycle up close and learn more about these amazing creatures.

There's something magical about witnessing this transformation and being reminded of the beauty and wonder of nature. We can't wait to watch them spread their wings and take flight!
