Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting a GPA (Gentle Persuasive Approaches) Training session for our families and friends, led by our Regional Director of Care. 💙

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about compassionate approaches to dementia care, better understand responsive behaviours, and explore meaningful ways to support our loved ones.

Our residents had a super fun-filled day today! From working together to complete a puzzle, laughing and enjoying music, to playing Throw the Cans and shooting balls at a can pyramid—there was so much fun, laughter, and friendly competition! 🎶🧩🎯

Who could knock down the most cans? The friendly competition had everyone cheering, laughing, and having a blast! 🥳

Sometimes, the simplest things can be turned into the most fun and meaningful moments. It’s all about creating opportunities to laugh, connect, participate, and enjoy the moment together. 💕✨

Good food, great music, lots of prizes, and even better company! It was wonderful to see all of our Riverstone communities come together to celebrate, connect, and enjoy an afternoon filled with fun and laughter. ❤️

A very special thank you to our Marketing Team, Support Office, and the Stirling Park team for opening their doors and welcoming us when the weather didn’t quite cooperate. ☔️ Your support helped make the day a success!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our presentation on caregiver stress and burnout.
We had an important conversation about recognizing the signs of burnout, managing stress and guilt, setting healthy boundaries, and—most importantly—remembering to take care of ourselves while caring for others.

✨ Creating Memory Care Moments ✨

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful picnic by the water today! 🌿💙 We soaked up the sunshine, enjoyed good company, and made some wonderful memories together.

And just as everyone was safely back on the bus… the rain decided to make an appearance! 🌧️☔️ Perfect timing! 😄

Another beautiful day filled with laughter, connection, and moments to remember. 💕

Hello Residents and Families,

Please be advised that we have received an update from Rogers regarding a significant internet service outage affecting approximately 15,000 customers in Ottawa's east end.

According to Rogers, fibre lines running along the VIA Rail corridor were deliberately cut in three separate locations due to an act of vandalism.

Restoration is currently estimated to take place between 8:00 PM and midnight. Please note that external phone calls cannot be made or received at this time. However, internal calls within Willowbend to specific extensions, such as nursing and reception, are still functioning.

We will continue to monitor the situation and share updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
