In Memory of Marcel Lavergne
Marcel Lavergne, beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at the age of 94.
Marcel was known for his story telling, generosity, and helping spirit. Whether offering advice or support, he touched many lives through his kindness and willingness to help others.
Marcel had a remarkable gift for storytelling. Family and loved ones would often be gathered around Marcel, as he retold stories of his youth, his times working at Chateau Laurier and in Jasper, or his career as an electrician.
Marcel dedicated many years to his work as an electrician with Bolton Electric, where he earned the respect and friendship of colleagues that extended long after his retirement. Marcel took great pride in the work he had accomplished. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family and took great pride in caring for those he loved.
He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Sydney and Ashley, who find comfort in knowing that Marcel is reunited with his late wife Alice, daughter Carol and son Paul, who had predeceased him just a few years ago.
Those who knew Marcel will remember his unforgettable stories, helping hand and unwavering pride. His legacy of generosity, laughter, and love will continue to live on in all who were privileged enough to know him.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Kidney or Diabetes Foundation in honour of his beloved children.
Marcel will be forever loved and never forgotten.
