π June is Scoliosis Awareness Month π
Scoliosis is a condition where the spine curves and/or rotates, affecting posture and spinal alignment. It most often develops during adolescence but can be identified at any age.
While some cases are mild, scoliosis can lead to muscle imbalances, postural changes, discomfort, and fatigue. Early awareness and detection are important in helping monitor progression and guide appropriate care.
Common signs can include uneven shoulders or hips, one shoulder blade appearing more prominent, or a visible curve in the spine.
This month is a reminder to stay informed, support spinal health, and encourage early assessment when changes in posture are noticed. π
