✨️ Educational Perspective Spotlight ✨️

Most institutions host oath-taking ceremonies at graduation, but in this educational piece, Kathleen Naidoo and Heidi Thomas explores a powerful shift: introducing the pledge to first-year students before their very first clinical rotation.

Guided by Professional Identity Formation (PIF) and the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), this early ceremony grounds students in core values right as they begin patient care. The results? Mabee and colleagues found that adding one simple extra X‑ray view helped doctors better tell whether a foreign object had gone into the bone. This extra image was quick and easy for technologists to take, fit smoothly into regular workflow, and made radiologists more confident in their decisions.
