Spent a valuable afternoon with my team at Novel Health, engaging in a powerful workshop led by Faron Smith from the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ottawa Branch. We dove into empathic strain and explored actionable strategies for thriving in the workplace. Key takeaways:

✅ We often place unrealistic expectations on ourselves in healthcare, constantly saying "we should."

✅ We tend to overlook self-care until our to-do lists are cleared.

✅ True self-care sometimes means making tough decisions, like setting clear boundaries.

✅ The PERMA model is an excellent framework for fostering well-being and ensuring we’re not only effective professionals but also positive contributors to our teams and communities.
