Are you interested in helping your peers and making a difference in medical school? Be part of the Ryan Séguin Peer Support Team for the 2026-2027 academic year!
Our Philosophy:
Ryan Séguin Peer Support Program is a peer support program that complements current mental health services available for medical students at the faculty of medicine by building on the relationships between medical students and their expertise in understanding medical school challenges.
The goals are to improve medical student help seeking behaviours, reduce stigma and provide non-judgemental, accessible, and confidential peer support from students who have undergone training.
Application Process:
We are looking for MD students from any cohort.
To apply, please fill out the application form before October 2nd at 11:59pm. We will communicate with selected candidates for an interview. Those dates will follow and will be determined according to students’ availabilities.
Mandatory Training:
There will be three mandatory training sessions: 2 virtual sessions during the week of Nov 2nd-6th and 1 in person session on November 9th. Exact time is TBA but will likely be around 6-8pm on each day. All selected candidates must attend the training sessions; no exceptions will be made.
Kind regards,
