✨ Therapist Spotlight: Meet Heather Bungay ✨

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about reconnecting with who you’ve always been.

Heather offers a compassionate, trauma-informed approach for teens (13+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, dissociation, trauma, relationship challenges, and spirituality. Drawing from mindfulness, somatic therapy, yoga therapy, and compassion-focused practices, she creates a safe space where healing can unfold at your own pace.

Heather believes that therapy is about more than managing symptoms—it’s about helping you reconnect with your authentic self, build resilience, and move toward a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and true to who you are.

🌿 Currently accepting new clients for both in-person sessions in Ottawa and virtual appointments across Ontario.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your healing journey, Heather is here to walk alongside you.

‼️NEW BLOG‼️

Summer often feels like the perfect time to slow down—but for many people, rest can bring up anxiety, guilt, or the feeling that they should be doing more. This experience, sometimes called relaxation anxiety, is more common than many realize.

The good news? Rest isn’t something you have to earn. It’s an essential part of caring for your mental and emotional well-being, allowing you to recover, recharge, and continue showing up in a sustainable way.

What thoughts come up for you when you finally have time to slow down?

Finding the right therapist isn’t just about credentials—it’s also about how they make you feel in the room.

If you’ve noticed any of these therapist red flags, it may be worth asking whether your needs are truly being met.

And if you’re wondering what good therapy should look like, we’ve got you covered. We’re revisiting one of our favorite blog posts: “Green Flags: What a Great Therapist Does Differently.” It breaks down the qualities of a therapist who listens, collaborates, respects your boundaries, and supports the goals you want to achieve.

‼️NEW BLOG‼️

How much time do you spend thinking about a problem... versus actually solving it?

Overthinking often feels productive because we’re constantly thinking—but in reality, it can keep us stuck. We replay conversations, search for certainty, and analyze situations that may not have clear answers.

Problem-solving is different. It focuses on what you can do, not what you can’t control.

The next time you notice yourself caught in a loop, try asking yourself:
✨ Is this thought helping me solve my current problem?
✨ Is there actually a solution to what I’m thinking about?
✨ What’s one thing I can do right now that’s within my control?

Remember, you don’t have to stop your thoughts to find peace. You can notice them, acknowledge them, and let them pass—like clouds drifting across the sky.
