Emotional management is often misunderstood as being an out for feeling. A way to feel less or a way to feel quickly and transition to a different state of mind.
What is often misunderstood and misconstrued is that emotions are essential to our well-being. It can be harmful to feel less, harmful to rush through or push aside big feelings.
Emotional management is just that. It is allowing your body and mind to feel deeply, and to move through the emotion towards a resolution.
Feeling angry or anxious? Practice sitting with the discomfort and aim to understand it. When did the anxiety start? What was the trigger? What was my mindset? Was it caused by an internal or external cause? What kind of control do I have on this emotion?
Work through the emotions. Feel them, name them and this will help move through them.
