We have!
Patient's say it all the time. On the surface, it makes sense, we feel it, we see it in others, and it's been said to us many times.

But it's not true.
It's a narrative that fits, but the science doesn't support.

If we're being honest... many of us don’t take our health seriously, until they have to.

We give ourselves reasons to put off the medical appointment, delay implementing the health habits due to time, "feeling fine", other deadlines, feelings of every day urgency.

We've all been there. Us too. It's the ongoing internal diaglogue of:
"I'll get to it next week..."
"I'll start next month..."
"As soon as I'm done this..."
but the time comes and goes without any significant change.

Macronutrient tracking apps are VERY helpful when it comes to managing your food intake for energy. But, most calorie calculators are standardized - and they don't know your exact physiology.

A Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test will tell you exactly how many calories your body burns at rest, based on your current metabolism.

So why might this matter?
Most of us OVER-estimate how many calories we burn with metabolism and movement (exercise) and UNDER-estimate how many calories we consume.
