Green's Creek Donkey and Mule Sanctuary We offer a peaceful garden space for people to participate in therapeutic programs tother with their peers.

The Women Warriors' Healing Garden is a place for women and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community who have served or are serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, or allied forces.

I’d like to introduce you all to Goose! Goose is a Rat Terrier and he will be assisting us on the farm by keeping rodents from helping themselves to the feed grain. Feed is a large part of our expenses on the farm and this little fella will be trained to keep it safe and secure for the chickens.

Our Combat Medic, Tina, is wrapping the toes of Mr. Slate who had a bit of an accident. He’s doing much better now. There is life after the military using our special skills to help others.

This is our new “Turkey Tower,” built by our Veteran volunteers. The tower is a much better home for the turkeys who prefer to roost much higher than the chickens.

Using plans from the Livestock Conservancy and repurposed planter boxes, we succeeded in making a pretty cool structure that keeps the birds safer and happier.

I love this time of year. The turkeys are now poults and wander the farm freely. Their happy clucks ring out each time the pluck a blade of grass.

The pond is drying up. Walden Pond we.call iti. But,the tadpoles are all nearly frogs.

Breathe with natures lungs. I can do that sometimes here.

There are thousands of years of shared history between people and working donkeys. But did you know that this very history has shaped donkeys as we know them? 💭

First domesticated around 6,000 years ago, donkeys later travelled trade routes like the Silk Road, where breed mixing helped create the diversity we see today.

Now, they continue to be vital to the lives of communities around the world.

Donkey tootsies were trimmed today. Rory is a champion. Neco stood for his front feet. Bert has an abscess that wept again. He got an extra treatment in an epsom salt bath. He seemed to enjoy it.
