A softer path to pain relief may be closer than you think. Our 6-week Yoga for Arthritis and Chronic Pain series is running September 15th - October 20th, 2026 at CURAVITA Glebe, created to support comfort, mobility, and confidence in a pace that feels manageable.

Each class is structured to feel safe, steady, and encouraging, with gentle guidance that helps you move with more ease, not more pressure. Led by , a certified Johns Hopkins Yoga for Arthritis instructor.

With just 8 spots available, the series stays personal. Chairs and props help keep the experience accessible, whether you are brand new to yoga or returning carefully.

Welcome Helly Patel, physiotherapist to our Byward Clinic Team! Helly is passionate about helping patients reduce pain, restore movement, and regain confidence in their daily lives.

In addition to treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions and motor vehicle accident injuries, Helly has pursued advanced post-graduate training in pelvic health and prenatal physiotherapy. Her specialized education includes the assessment and treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic pain through a trauma-informed approach, and prenatal physiotherapy to support individuals throughout pregnancy. Combined with her experience in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional rehabilitation, and patient education, Helly brings a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to patient care.

A very warm CURAVITA welcome to Mara Iacoe, Physiotherapist!

Mara is deeply committed to continuing education and professional excellence. She has completed extensive post-graduate training through the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program, including multiple upper and lower body certifications. In addition, she is certified in Shockwave Therapy, the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), the GLA:D Canada Program for osteoarthritis management, and The McKenzie Institute's Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy approach for the lumbar spine. This advanced training allows her to provide comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Physiotherapist Helly Patel has joined the CURAVITA Byward Team! She starts the week of July 6, 2026.

Helly completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Shree Ghantakarna Mahaveer Physiotherapy College before relocating to Ontario to pursue a diploma in Health and Fitness Promotion at Durham College. She began practicing as a Resident Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario before becoming a Registered Physiotherapist in 2025.

Helly is passionate about helping patients reduce pain, restore movement, and regain confidence in their daily lives. She believes every patient deserves an individualized approach to care and works collaboratively with patients to develop treatment plans that support their unique goals while promoting long-term health, mobility, and independence.

Physiotherapist Mara Iacoe has joined the CURAVITA Byward Team! Starting July 6, 2026.

Mara brings more than ten years of clinical experience and a passion for helping patients stay active, move with confidence, and return to the activities that are most meaningful to them. She earned her Bachelor of Science from The University of Western Ontario before completing her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at The University of Toronto.

Throughout her career, Mara has developed a strong clinical focus in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, movement assessment, and exercise-based rehabilitation. She believes in combining hands-on manual therapy with progressive exercise programs to help patients reduce pain, restore function, and achieve lasting results. Her goal is to empower patients with the knowledge and confidence to remain active and healthy long after treatment has ended.
