Back in 2023 (before my name change) I had the pleasure of chatting with Jules Smith on the Jules Smith · Canadian Practice Mentor · Podcaster · Therapist podcast about what it was like to take the leap and open my private practice. Putting myself out there was scary, but I’m so glad I did it!

Three years later I will be back! I can’t wait to share what the last three years have taught me about growing a private practice, becoming more confident, and figuring out what actually works for me as a therapist and business owner.

A great couples therapy tool I tried in my own relationship recently… and honestly, it worked SO well. Thanks to Ben Earnest, LMHC | FL Therapist for sharing this!

It’s called the 3 H’s: Hug, Heard, or Help? 🫶

Sometimes when our partner is upset, our instinct is to jump in and fix it, offer advice, or make it better. But sometimes they don’t need a solution at all. They just need to feel heard. Or maybe they really do need a hug. 🥹

The idea is simple:
✨ Do you want a Hug?
✨ Do you want to be Heard?
✨ Or do you want Help figuring it out?

I shared a little real-life example in the reel because this was one of those tools that immediately made sense in our relationship and actually made a difference.

It’s such a small question, but it can create a LOT more clarity and connection. 💕

Would you use this in your relationship? If you do I would love to hear how it went?

A little reminder from a therapist
✨ Do it scared!
✨ Take the risk!
✨ You’re more capable than you think!

This was me last night cheering on a friend who’s feeling scared to take a risk. And honestly, even as I write this, I feel a little scared posting this unedited clip not in my office, not perfectly put together, just me, out in the world.

But as I continue this journey of being an unmasked therapist with ADHD, supporting other beautifully neurospicy brains, I’m reminding myself that showing up authentically matters more than showing up polished and perfect so here you go!

So if you need a reminder today…this is it!

YOU CAN DO IT!

Time management is a challenge that I'm way too familiar with as an therapist with ADHD working with neurospicy brains! That's why I love my in my sessions. It's a game changer for staying on track without the stress of watching the clock.

My clients know that play is always welcome in my office. I’m constantly on the hunt for games, toys and things that invite connection, regulation, joy and fun. So I couldn’t pass up this mini air hockey table that clients of all ages will love!🏒

I’m so excited to share my new practice logo 🎉 just in time to celebrate my 3-year anniversary in private practice! 🥳 I can’t believe it’s already been three years!

Working with Ali was amazing! She helped me design a logo that truly reflects who I am as a therapist: warm, playful, creative, compassionate, and welcoming

Feeling so grateful to finally have a logo that represents Alanna Page Therapy 😊

Yes! In my office clients can grab a sticker after therapy anytime they want and not just the kiddos adults too!
There’s something so simple yet joyful about picking out a sticker after a session a little dopamine hit! I love these stickers by .education
