🐝 Bee and wasp stings are a common part of spending time outdoors, but it’s important to know when a sting is more than just a painful surprise.

A normal sting may cause localised pain, redness, localised swelling, or itching. A serious allergic reaction can look very different and include trouble breathing, swelling of the face, lips, or throat, widespread hives, dizziness, nausea, or fainting.

It's Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend ! SJA FD will be out all weekend providing first aid and medical response at all the races! Thursday, Friday and Saturday we'll also be at the Race Expo at Carleton University! When you're picking up your race gear, stop by our booth to talk with our staff and volunteers about our activities, buy a first aid kit or pick up some some SJA FD swag!
