A year ago, I posted this video and all I could think about was how much I hated bedtime.

The stalling.

The excuses.

The endless requests.

The fact that getting one small human to sleep somehow felt harder than my entire workday.

But this video popped up in my memories recently, and I saw it differently.

Look at her.

So little.

So innocent.

So excited to squeeze in one more story, one more cuddle, one more conversation before the day ends.

She isn’t trying to drive me crazy.

She is trying to spend a few extra minutes with her mom.

Here’s your reminder:

The things that test our patience today might be the things we miss tomorrow.

The bedtime battles.

The million questions.

The tiny voice calling your name one more time.

Take the picture.

Record the video.

Pause for the cuddle.

Because one day, they’ll stop asking.

And we’d probably give anything for “just one more story” again ❤️🥹

Nobody talks about the second shift of the day.

I went from coach, business owner, and answering emails…

To snack maker, question answerer, and listening to how almonds are apparently the worst thing we’ve ever bought 😂

The bus dropped her off, we walked in the door, and before I could even take off my shoes, sunglasses and set her bag down the requests started:

✔️ Goldfish crackers
✔️ A special treat
✔️ No almonds

Parents know there’s no clocking out.

There’s just a shift change ❤️

You don’t need longer workouts.

You need more consistency.

This month I’m cutting my workouts down to 20–30 minutes and I already know it’s not going to ruin my progress.

Because results come from consistently showing up in both the gym AND the kitchen, not from doing everything perfectly.

Busy women don’t need more pressure.

They need a realistic plan they can actually stick to.

Small daily wins > random extremes every single time 💪

She grabbed the 5lb dumbbells, demonstrated the “lion stretch,” let out a full roar… then hit me with a casual “see” and walked away like she just invented the best exercise ever 😂🦁
