We would like to congratulate Emmelia Kardaras on her well-earned retirement as Office Administrator of the Hellenic Community of Ottawa.

While Emmelia began serving in the role full-time in 1996, her work with the HCO office goes back even further, having served in the position intermittently in the years prior. Over the decades, she has worked alongside several Presidents, Boards of Directors, staff, volunteers and members, helping provide the continuity and stability that have allowed our Community to grow and thrive.

Throughout it all, Emmelia has worked tirelessly and passionately in service of the Community she loves deeply. She is also fondly remembered by generations of students as their Greek School teacher, and her dedication has touched generations of HCO members in countless ways, both seen and unseen.

We congratulate Emmelia once again on her retirement and thank her for the extraordinary dedication, care and decades of service she has given to the Hellenic Community of Ottawa.

We wish her every happiness in this very well-earned next chapter
