On March 20, 2019 we will be presenting on 'Psychotherapeutic Interventions For Adult ADHD'
This workshop will provide a brief overview of adult ADHD symptoms and the benefits of medication, while the primarily focus will be on introducing effective psychotherapeutic interventions for this neurodevelopmental disorder. We will begin by investigating how ADHD may manifest in adults in different life domains, influence daily functioning, and how it may challenge therapy sessions and outcomes. We will continue the session with a short review of the benefits/challenges of medication, and spend most of the time on learning interventions that participants may utilize in their own work with this population. Included strategies will come from a variety of treatment protocols (CBT, ACT, mindfulness and self-compassion training) that proved to be the most effective in treating ADHD symptoms over the years. The session will conclude with reviewing some helpful apps and quality resources for both practitioners and clients.
