Good morning, my friends!

A little update I’ve been improving with my ACL recovery and it feels absolutely amazing!  You truly learn to appreciate the small wins in life after such a surgery! Completely and utterly humbling.

I am starting from scratch again, and have met a friend that wants to start strength training with me!

So I’ve made this program for us. And why not share with others!
If you are new to strength training or need a re-start like myself, feel free to join in!

This is month 1! Building up confidence, routine, and learning the movements.

Edit- do this as a circuit and mark down how much weight you have used , it should only take you 20 minutes. It’s not overwhelming or daunting. I hope you give it a whirl!

Just an update. I’m almost 4 months post op from full ACL reconstruction. My hamstring was used as the graph.

I have to say I get super frustrated because I am not able to do all the things that I love. 💕
I’m still not going on big walks. So forget about hikes, gardening, tennis or pickleball….
However- I CAN ride my bike outdoors for 30 minutes on a flat stretch. Any takers want to join me? lol. 😆
I am having to learn how to go up and down stairs normally which is very difficult right now.

I am “ close” to doing a single leg press on the machine without any added weight! 🤦‍♀️

But I watch these videos to remind myself.

9 to 12 months to get back to the things I love to do …. It just takes longer than a typical surgery to heal. But without the surgery, I wouldn’t have healed, and I’d be waiting for a knee replacement instead.

So.
Focusing on the things I CAN do! Working on strength, but won’t overdo it and cause setbacks.

So deep breaths……. 🧘 “patience” 😑

Excited to teach a SPIN class again tomorrow morning!
I’m not 💯 , I’ll be modifying, but I’ve got the approval from my Surgeon!
Can’t wait to get back in the saddle and groove to the music with you all!

Happy May 1st!

I wanted to start this month on a happier note! So what did I do? I went to the OS YMCA of course!
So wonderful to see so many gym friends! I miss the community / gym love!💕

Managed 30 minutes on the bike and a bit of flexion exercises, followed my strength training!

Thank you to ALL that warmed my heart with a greeting and hug today! 🤗💕😘
