QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a RPN Diploma or Certificate

Must be currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing and possess liability insurance

Must be able to work well with others and possess good communication skills

Good skills in planning, coordinating, and supervising the work of others

Experience in LTC setting an asset

Must have current Standard First Aid Training

Thanks to the donations and fundraising of the Residents' Council Fund, Residents Council was able to sponsor the on-site Petting Zoo for residents, staff and their families. We were able to feed and watch a variety of animals including a camel! A great afternoon enjoyed by all.

We know summer is near when Memphis and Houston start coming for visits. We've missed our horse friends. Thank you H&H Ranch for bringing along some much needed 4 legged cuddles and joy.

Incorporating community outings into our routine is essential to promote resident well-being, including mental, physical, cognitive stimulation, and sense of purpose. This month's resident choice outing was to Magic Wok Chinese Buffet in Listowel where we enjoyed an all you can eat lunch!

Thank you to everyone who supported the Royal Terrace IG Wealth Alzheimer's Walk. Residents' made great efforts in increasing their exercise throughout the month of May and were rewarded with the support of the community as we were able to raise $452.00 towards the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
We look forward to the continued warmer weather and continuing our outdoor walks.

The residents have made their way into Ontario on their trek across Canada. They've got one more week to travel to St. John's NFLD. Hopefully the predicted warmer weather will have them walk, walk, walking for Alzheimer's.

Thank you to the volunteers from the 7th Adventist Church, Harriston for planting some beautiful flowers in our LTC courtyard. They will be enjoyed all summer long!
Now just waiting a few more days for the weather to cooperate to get our tomato plants outside. What started from a seed, will be delicious cherry and pear tomatoes in a few short months.
