Today we got out of the office for a bit to attend Dobson's Open House celebrating 50 years in business in Palmerston. While we were there, Al presented the Foundation with a cheque for $12,000.

For five decades, Dobson’s has been more than a trusted name in trucks and trailers—they've been a dedicated community partner. Their commitment to giving back was evident once again as they have donated a total of $50,000 to local organizations in honour of this milestone anniversary.

Congratulations to everyone at Dobson’s on 50 years of success and community stewardship. Thank you for your generous support of our Foundation and for all you do to help make Palmerston a stronger community. Here's to the next 50 years!

This is a bit of a long shot, but our Gala community is a good one...

During our most recent Gala, one of our borrowed decor items went missing, and we have looked through all of our items to no avail.

The borrowed item that has gone astray is a deer antler found by a youngster who would love to have it back. Deer antlers are so interesting, and perhaps someone thought it was a faux antler. However, it was real, and found through a very real trek through the bush. It is quite sentimental to this young guy. We'd love to get it back for him.

If you happen to have picked it up mistakenly, please reach out. No harm, no foul, we just want to reunite this young hunter-to-be with a very special springtime memory.

What a fantastic day, honouring the memory of a very special lady. The Mary Lynne Forrest Memorial Golf Tournament was held yesterday at Pike Lake, with a huge number of golfers and supporters gathered. The Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation is grateful to be the recipient of the proceeds this year. This tournament will help us to do the consultant work and build a plan for the renovation of our OR suite. We cannot thank George, Brandy, Christa and Sheree enough for their commitment to local health care!

The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign was a resounding success, raising $12,096.53 for our hospital! Thank you to Palmerston Tim Hortons for choosing to support our Foundation and thank you to everyone who purchased a Smile Cookie (or, like us, cookies 🍪🍪🍪). It's because of campaigns like this that we are able to "keep quality health care close to home".

Now that all the numbers are in, we are so pleased to announce that it's not $280,000 - it's $285,000 that was raised at our From Coast to Coast: A Canadian Evening Gala! Again, thank you to everyone who came together to make this event such a success in support of our hospital!!

Congratulations to our Golden Ticket winner! For the second year in a row, the Live Auction item donated by Palmerston Home Hardware was chosen as the Golden Ticket prize. Our winner was able to take home "The Great Outdoors" package for only the $100 cost of the ticket. Stacey, we know you'll have a blast this summer with this incredible package, and thanks to everyone who bought a ticket!

A big thank you to our incredible “Mountie”, Neil Aitchison, for helping bring the spirit of Canada to life at our From Coast to Coast: A Canadian Evening Gala. From posing for photos to greeting guests with charm and character, Neil helped create a truly memorable evening filled with Canadian pride, laughter, and celebration. Having a "Mountie" presence added the perfect touch to the night. Thank you, Neil, for helping make the evening such a success in support of our hospital! 🍁🇨🇦
