Holly just added more days.

You can now find her in the clinic Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. More options, more flexibility, easier to fit into your week.

Holly has been practicing since 2018 and brings a background in spa therapy to her RMT practice. Her sessions are effective and genuinely relaxing. If you have been wanting to book with her and the timing has not worked, now it probably does.

You have probably heard of chiropractic. You have probably had a massage. Osteopathy is neither of those things.

Chiropractic focuses primarily on the spine and joints. The goal is alignment through manipulation.

Massage works on soft tissue. Muscle, fascia, circulation. It releases what is tight.

Osteopathy works on the whole body as a connected system. Bone, muscle, fascia, fluid, nerve. An osteopath is trained to assess how restrictions in one area create compensation and dysfunction somewhere else entirely. The problem showing up in your shoulder may be tracing back to your hip. The headache you keep getting may be connected to tension in your thoracic spine.

Treatment is hands on and gentle. No cracking required.

Evan Ashley is a Manual Osteopath now at Parksville Wellness Collective. Currently booking Mondays. If you have been dealing with something that has not responded to other treatment, this is worth a conversation.

Self care is not a bath bomb.
It is the thing you keep putting off because it feels indulgent. The appointment you cancelled because something came up. The hour you gave to everyone else before you gave it to yourself.
Here is what self care actually looks like in a body that is running on empty. Muscle that will not release no matter how much you stretch it. A nervous system that cannot downregulate even when nothing is wrong. A bladder that leaks when you laugh. A brain that cannot stop even when you tell it to. A jaw that is clenched before you even get out of bed.
These are not personality traits. They are symptoms. And they are treatable.
Self care is infrastructure. Not a reward for finishing everything else first.

Samantha graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at Pacific Rim College in Victoria. Over 2700 hours of training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and biomedicine. Over 1050 hours of clinical practice before she ever walked into her own treatment room.
That is what you are watching in this video. Not a technique she learned last month. A precision that took years to build.
Samantha is in the clinic Wednesdays and Thursdays. Direct billing available.

Most people do not know their pelvic floor exists until something goes wrong.
It is not a single muscle. It is a group of muscles, fascia, and connective tissue that runs like a hammock across the base of your pelvis. It holds your organs in place, controls bladder and bowel function, stabilizes your spine, and plays a direct role in sexual function. When it stops working properly the symptoms range from leaking when you laugh or sneeze to chronic pelvic pain to a core that never quite fires right.
Kegels are the standard recommendation. The problem is most people do them wrong, they target the wrong muscles, and even when done correctly they cannot produce the neuromuscular firing depth or speed required to actually retrain a dysfunctional floor.
Emsella uses high intensity focused electromagnetic energy to produce 11,200 pelvic floor contractions in 28 minutes. You sit fully clothed in a chair. The electromagnetic field penetrates the tissue and fires the muscles at a depth and frequency the brain cannot voluntarily replicate. One session is the neuromuscular equivalent of thousands of perfect Kegels.
It is not just postpartum recovery. It is not just for women. Pelvic floor dysfunction affects one in three people and most of them never connect their symptoms to the source.

Evan is officially in the building.
He's a Manual Osteopath, trained at the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto, with a background in kinesiology and sports psychology from the University of Ottawa. Before clinical work, he spent years with varsity athletes, which shows in how he treats: instead of chasing the sore spot, he looks at how the whole body is compensating around it.
Here's the thing: pain is often just where the problem finally showed up, not where it started.
Evan is at the clinic Mondays. Booking is open now.

Most people sit down for their first counselling session and spend the first five minutes wondering if they are doing it right.
There is no right way to do it.
You do not have to have it figured out before you book. You do not have to know what to say or where to start. You do not have to be in crisis. You can just show up and say I do not know where to begin and that is a completely valid place to start.
Lauren and Liz are both registered clinical counsellors at Parksville Wellness Collective. They work with teens and adults. Blue Cross direct billing available. Lauren is also an ICBC provider.
