I recently looked back at a photo of Adi from when I became her guardian. She looked so young, so different.

Her energy felt different. Her presence felt different. There was a different imprint of who she was at that point in her journey.

And it had me reflecting on the way photographs hold more than just a memory of a moment in time, they also hold pieces of who we were, like an imprint.

They allow us to witness the evolution that happens over time. The shifts in energy, presence, expression, and being.

How have they shifted?
Who have they become?
How have they expanded?
Who are they still becoming?

I think there is something really important about taking time to acknowledge growth, both within ourselves and within our animals.

Not just physically, but energetically, emotionally, and within the essence of who they are. That is what this post represents to me.

Growth - Evolution - Becoming

I would love to hear what you notice and feel as you look at these shifts within them.

And I would also love to hear how you and your own animals have changed throughout your journey together. 🫶

Episode 32: How to Navigate an Animal's Unrealistic Requests

In this episode, I am talking about something that I think many animal guardians, and people exploring animal communication, quietly navigate but don’t always talk openly about… What happens when animals ask for things that feel unrealistic, unattainable, or simply impossible for us to provide?

As much as we may want to meet all of our animals’ needs all of the time, the reality is that life is more complex than that. Sometimes animals ask for things that aren’t logistically possible, financially accessible, aligned with their wellbeing, or realistic within the human world they are living in.

In this conversation, I explore why this happens, how animals perceive possibility differently than humans do, and the importance of understanding that animals, just like people, can ask for things they want that may not actually be supportive or achievable for them.

I also talk about the nuance between literal and symbolic communication, how some requests are connected to deeper emotional or physical needs, and the importance of not automatically perceiving yourself as failing your animal simply because you cannot give them everything they ask for.

Throughout the episode, I share real examples from my own experiences and client sessions, including animals asking for impossible environmental changes, different living situations, specific foods, relief from pain, additional companionship, and more.

This episode is really about holding compassion for both the animal and the human in the relationship, while recognizing that supporting our animals often requires navigating the space between what is desired, what is realistic, and what is truly aligned.

Adi & Me

Adi came into my life during a time when I was beginning to step more fully into this work. A time where I was learning to allow myself to be seen, while moving through layers of fear and self-doubt in dedication to what I knew was waiting on the other side.

She has been one of the most consistent animals that shows up for me in daily partnership.

Connection is at the core of who she is.

It is through connection that she feels most seen, and it is through connection that she sees others too.

There is a depth to her presence that is difficult to fully put into words.

She is a soul who feels deeply devoted not only to her own experience, but also to supporting connection, growth, and transformation within others.

To be with her is to feel held on many levels at once… Physically, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.

She moves through the world with an openness to possibility that constantly reminds me there is always more available to us than we can currently see.

We are not bound by limits, but always connected to the limitless possibilities that lay before us.

I often get asked how people can become more intuitive or strengthen their intuitive abilities.

And the truth is, it is not something that can simply be explained in steps or instructions. It is something you build a relationship with over time, through experience and self-awareness.

One of the most supportive ways to develop that relationship is to reconnect with your joy within it.

If we approach our practices from a place of seriousness, rigidity, or pressure, we can easily lose connection to the very thing that supports intuition most… our sense of aliveness.

Joy is not separate from this work. It is part of it.

Joy is our birthright, and in many ways, our practices are meant to bring us back home to that.

Our intuition lives more clearly in the parts of ourselves that feel most natural, most open, and most alive.

Often, that is the place of joy.

Episode 31: Expanding Your Capacity to Receive

In this episode, I am diving into something that comes up constantly in my work as a teacher and mentor: Expanding your capacity to receive and raising your energetic minimum.

This is one of the biggest areas I support people through as they begin developing animal communication, intuitive abilities, energy work, or any kind of spiritual practice. So often, people want to strengthen their gifts or receive more clearly, but what they don’t always realize is that our systems also need the capacity to hold and sustain that level of connection.

I talk about what it actually means to raise your energetic minimum, why intuitive work can sometimes feel exhausting or overwhelming when you are first learning, and how developing these abilities is much more like building endurance and strength than people often expect.

I also share personal experiences from my own practice, including what happened when I took time away from sessions and how even now, after years of doing this work professionally, I still have to be mindful of my energetic capacity and what my system can sustainably hold.

This episode is really about giving yourself permission to grow at your own pace, understanding that development takes practice and patience, and recognizing that where you are right now may actually be perfectly aligned with what your system is currently able to support.

If you are someone developing your intuition, learning animal communication, exploring spiritual work, or simply wanting to understand why receiving can sometimes feel difficult or draining, this episode will offer both perspective and encouragement for the journey.

When we begin exploring reincarnation, there is often a desire to understand the intricacies of the journey for our animals’ souls and for ourselves.

We understandably want clarity, understanding, and answers.

But there is no single formula for how reincarnation unfolds, and no one path that every soul follows.

Each journey is unique to the soul experiencing it, and to the ways that soul may choose to manifest within our lives.

When we allow ourselves to broaden our perspective, we open ourselves to the infinite possibilities of how reincarnation may unfold for the souls that mean so much to us.

Episode 30: Relationships That Stretch Us: A Journey with Rosie - with Jennifer Woolwine

In this episode, I am joined by Jennifer Woolwine of for a deeply honest conversation about navigating one of the harder, more complex relationships we can have with our animals.

Together, we talk about Jen’s journey with her dog Rosie. A relationship that has stretched, challenged, and transformed her in many ways she wasn’t expecting.

From moments of deep connection to moments of doubt, overwhelm, guilt, and questioning whether she was truly the “right” home for Rosie, this conversation opens the door to experiences that many animal guardians quietly navigate but rarely speak about openly.

We explore the emotional reality of living alongside an animal who pushes your edges, the shame that can arise when a relationship with an animal doesn’t feel easy, and the importance of support, honesty, and patience throughout the process.

My hope is that this conversation helps listeners feel less alone, while also creating more space for the truth that relationships with animals (just like relationships with humans) can sometimes be deeply loving and deeply challenging at the same time.

“Why did you find it safe to settle on that particular truth?”

This question stopped me in my tracks.

Often, within our wounding, we can unconsciously decide that something is true and begin to carry it as part of our identity and understanding of the world.

And sometimes, when we are cycling within our pain, seeking validation for our perspective, or trying to make sense of an experience, we can forget to step back and look at what we are holding as truth with neutrality and curiosity.

Maybe that truth was formed to protect us.

Maybe it helped us create understanding around something painful.

Maybe it gave us a sense of safety, control, or certainty within an experience that felt overwhelming.

But just because something once felt true does not always mean it is, or meant to be carried forever.

There can be so much value in gently questioning the truths we have settled into.

Not from judgment or making ourselves wrong.

But from a willingness to honestly look within and ask: Is this truly my truth? Or is this a truth I created in order to feel safe?

Reading Their Needs
Can you read the needs of your animal?
Can you connect with and understand what they might choose for themselves?

So much of this journey is about creating space for them to have a voice within their own lives.

A voice in the care they receive.
A voice in the ways we support them.
A voice in the partnerships we create with them.

And sometimes, that can feel challenging.

But when we don’t create opportunities for our animals to express their preferences, needs, and wishes, we are missing an important part of the equation.

They hold awareness, perspective, and wisdom about their own experiences, too. 🌻
