I Hate Writing, But I LOVE the Results



Hey,

I can’t tell you how much I hate writing.

I almost failed out of high school because I was so bad at writing, and still to this day I hate every minute I sit down to write my books.

But I still get it done.

I get it done because I know how important books are to my business.

I’ve sold 40,000,000+ copies of Rich Dad Poor Dad, and I’ve written over 18 other books that have supported my business in so many different ways.

Because guess what?

Every business owner, at least the ones who produce something in-demand, get the same questions over and over again...

Entrepreneurs get asked how they made their first dollar
Personal trainers get asked about their morning routines
Accountants get asked how they save money on taxes

The best way to stop having to answer those questions over and over again is to just write a book that answers those questions.

Then you just point to the book when someone asks you the question!

How to Start Writing Your Book AND Make Money…

Robert and Kim sit down with self-publishing expert Chandler Bolt to discuss why NOW might be the best time to start writing your book.

For example, people ask my friend Anik Singal all the time how they can become entrepreneurs and build online businesses like he has.

He heard it so many times he finally published a book called eSCAPE: The 4 Stages of Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur.

Now, instead of answering that question over and over again, Anik can just point people to this book they can buy for $7.97 on Amazon and get a much more in-depth answer than he could give in a short conversation.

And then that introduces people to his brand, the other products he sells, and so much more.

The problem most people have is actually starting their book because it’s so overwhelming to think about writing 15-20 chapters.

But you can break it down into a few simple steps…

Write down your main topic idea
Brainstorm as many ideas around that topic as you can
Organize your ideas into an outline
Write the book (or speak it and have it transcribed)

That’s all there is to writing a book.

In the past, you then had to go out and get an agent or pitch your book to publishers to get it out into the world.

And those publishers don’t pay nearly as much as people think they do.

Most publishers pay on a royalty system, meaning you earn a certain percentage of every sale. Usually, the royalty is around 5%, which means you would earn $1 on a $20 book sale.

You don’t have to be a mathematician to see who’s winning that arrangement.

On the other hand, you keep 70% of your sales when you sell through a platform like Amazon, which means you take $14 of that $20 sale.
