My top 5 take aways after starting my business right after graduating🕺🏿

1️⃣ I started way before I felt ready.

I knew little to nothing about starting a business but went for it anyways. I figured the only way to learn how to do it was to just do it. You grow and learn more as time goes on.

2️⃣ Word of mouth is the best advertisement.

A happy client goes on to tell friends how great their massage was, a not happy client doesn’t. Especially when you live in a small community where everyone hears everything.

3️⃣you become more than what you went to school for.

Receptionist, cleaner, social media manager, bookkeeper, you learn it all.

4️⃣it doesn’t always have to be perfect.

I thought I could never bump into the table, have a sip of water during treatment or listen to engaging music. Plot twist, you can do all of those things. It’s your clients time but it’s also yours and you aren’t expected to not be human.

5️⃣ client relationships are everything

You need to like your job in order to aid in helping people feel better and the people you surround yourself with make a huge difference. Nothing better than seeing a schedule full of your favourite clients.
