Today we celebrated the vibrant culture of India with an afternoon full of creativity, tradition, and delicious food!

Our residents enjoyed making beautiful mosaic crafts, experiencing the art of henna, and learning about some of the rich traditions that make India so unique. The celebration was topped off with a wonderful selection of authentic Indian cuisine that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

A special thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day so memorable. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, creativity, and cultural appreciation shared throughout the afternoon. 🌸🎨🪔🇮🇳

What a wonderful evening out with Lexi! 🌟

Our residents enjoyed a delicious dinner at Montana’s in Kanata, filled with great food, lots of laughter, and even better company. These special outings are a wonderful opportunity to create memories, share stories, and enjoy time together outside of our community.

What a wonderful day for our first picnic of the season at Stewart Park with Lexi! ☀️🧺

People often ask me, “Do the amenities actually get used?”

On Friday, I got my answer again. As I walked down the hallway connecting our apartments and retirement residence on my way to set up the party room for our Home Transition Panel, I looked to my right and saw a large group gathered around the putting green. To my left, another large group was enjoying a game of bocce. A little further down, I spotted a few people enjoying time in the pool.

These moments remind me that amenities aren’t just spaces or features — they’re where friendships grow, conversations happen, and community comes to life.

I apologize for the quality of the photo, but sometimes the best moments happen when you’re simply passing by and realize… this is exactly what community looks like ❤️

Last week, our team put their skills to the test during a Code Yellow exercise… and Larry the Lamb decided to keep everyone on their toes! 🐑👀

Our staff worked together quickly and efficiently, demonstrating teamwork, communication, and dedication to resident safety while tracking down our woolly friend.

At Lanark Lifestyles, practicing these important procedures helps ensure we are always prepared while continuing to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for our residents.

Good news… Larry was found safe and sound! ❤️🐑

What an amazing turnout for our Home Transition Panel! 😊

I want to send a huge thank you to Michale Fyke Real Estate Team: REMAX Boardwalk and team, along with Rebecca McElravy from Edward Jones, for sharing so much valuable information with our guests.

One of my favourite parts of the day was seeing guests reconnect with friends who already live at Lanark Lifestyles during our community tour. There were so many great conversations happening and so many familiar faces catching up.

I always leave events like this feeling proud. Watching people walk through our doors, experience our community, and be genuinely impressed with what we offer never gets old. It’s a reminder of what makes Lanark Lifestyles such a special place.

What an amazing day at the 55+ Expo in Carleton Place!

We are so fortunate to be part of a community filled with caring organizations and individuals who are passionate about supporting older adults and their families. It was wonderful connecting with so many people who share a common goal: helping others live their best lives.
A special thank you to Home Hospice North Lanark for including Lanark Lifestyles once again this year. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate and to work alongside so many dedicated community partners.
