June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

Elder abuse is not always obvious, and it is not always intentional. It can include physical harm, emotional mistreatment, financial exploitation, healthcare fraud, and neglect.

Recognizing the signs matters. So does taking responsibility when something feels wrong.

By staying informed, checking in, and speaking up when concerns arise, we can help create safer, more respectful communities for older adults.

Together, awareness becomes action and action helps protect dignity, safety, and care for every senior.

Caregiver burnout can come with a lot of guilt, especially for parents caring for a child with complex health needs.

You may feel guilty for being tired. Guilty for needing a break. Guilty for feeling frustrated. Guilty for wondering why something rooted in so much love can still feel so overwhelming.

But burnout does not mean you are failing or that you love your child any less. It often means you have been carrying too much, for too long, without enough support.

Our latest article looks at why caregiver burnout happens, why guilt is so common, and why asking for help is not selfish, it is part of protecting both your well-being and the care you are able to give.

It’s time for summer hours! ☀️

Every Friday, Align Home Health Care stores will close at 3:00 PM so our team can enjoy more time with family, friends, cottage weekends, and a little well-earned sunshine.

Our regular hours remain the same Monday to Thursday, and we’ll be happy to help you before the weekend begins. We will also still be available through phone or email.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you enjoy the longer, brighter days of summer!
