You can lose up to 50% of your hair density before it becomes noticeable!

Shedding 40 to 100 hairs a day is completely normal
Stress-related hair loss can show up 2 to 3 months after the event, so the cause is not always obvious
Hair loss is rarely just one thing, it can be stress, hormones, nutrient deficiencies, illness, or autoimmune conditions at play

If your hair has felt different lately, it is worth getting it looked at. There is often a cause, and there is often something that can help.

Your body is always communicating, sometimes through your hair.

Normal estrogen on your labs? That doesn’t rule out perimenopause. 🙅‍♀️

It’s not just about low estrogen, it’s the wild swings and change in estrogen that cause symptoms.

Labs are a snapshot. Your symptoms tell the full story.

☕ There’s a chemical quietly building in your brain right now and by evening, it’s practically dragging you to bed.

It’s called adenosine, and it’s the real reason you feel tired (hint: it has nothing to do with willpower).

In this carousel, I’m breaking down: → How your brain actually regulates sleep pressure → What caffeine is reallydoing (spoiler: it’s not giving you energy) → Why deep sleep is the most underrated health tool you have → And the cycle that’s quietly wrecking your recovery

Swipe through, this one might change how you think about your morning coffee ☕

Have questions about sleep or how it connects to your hormones, energy, or gut health? Reach out, we love chatting about this stuff!

This month we have focused on sleep!

If you wear a tractable, you are probably in tune with your sleep stages!

Deep sleep is good gos the brain, and REM is good for the body - both exceptionally important!

Lifestyle can heavily impact both!

Things to help increase deep sleep;
• No screen time two hours before bed ( sorry )
• No alcohol
• Exercise!!
• Not eating a late night meal
• ** A consistent bed time & wake time **

One in three perimenopausal women are fully symptomatic before her cycle changes at all.

Normal labs. Regular period.

But she is exhausted. She can’t sleep. Her anxiety came out of nowhere. Her brain doesn’t feel like hers anymore….

She is not imagining it. She is not being dramatic. She is just in a system that wasn’t built to find her. 🫶🏼

Estrogen doesn’t just quietly decline, it becomes unpredictable. And it was quietly running everything: your brain, your sleep, your mood, your gut, your bones, your metabolism. When it starts swinging wildly, every single one of those systems can feel it.

This is why perimenopause looks so different from woman to woman. And why so many women are dismissed for years before anyone connects the dots.

Swipe through to understand what’s actually happening and share this with a woman in your life who needs to hear it. 💛

To our teens - as much as we love coffee over here. It is not a substitute for breakfast 🫶🏼.

Getting food in your system first thing in the day sets the stage for the reminder of the day … it will keep you awake in all of your favourite ( 😉 ) classes, give you more energy for after school practice, likely make period

Sleep changes are one of the most common and least discussed parts of perimenopause.

For many women, this can look like waking throughout the night, lighter sleep, early morning awakenings, night sweats, or feeling exhausted despite spending enough time in bed. Over time, disrupted sleep can affect mood, memory, concentration, emotional resilience, and overall wellbeing.

This is not simply about getting older. Estrogen and progesterone play important roles in regulating sleep, body temperature, circadian rhythm, and nervous system function. As these hormones fluctuate during the menopause transition, sleep can become more fragile and less restorative.

The reassuring part is that sleep disturbances during perimenopause are both real and treatable. Research supports a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia, exercise, light exposure, hormone therapy for some women, and individualized nutritional or medical support.

Sleep is not a luxury. It is foundational for brain health, mental health, and long term wellbeing.
