Most people think of the feet as separate from the spine, but the arches in your feet absorb shock with every step and send information upward through the whole kinetic chain. When that shock absorption is off, it can show up as strain much higher up, even in the lower back. Ask us how gait and footwear fit into the picture at your next visit.

The nerve that controls your diaphragm exits the spine high in the neck, between the third and fifth vertebrae, long before it ever reaches the chest. That is one reason restriction in the upper neck can sometimes affect breathing capacity in ways people do not expect. Ask us what we look for when we assess this area.

Sometimes the person who notices your posture shift before you do is someone who has spent years by your side. If a friend or family member has mentioned they carry tension the same way you used to, that quiet observation might be the opening you need. Passing along what has helped you costs nothing and could be the nudge they have been waiting for.

A lot of people assume they need a referral from a medical doctor before they can see a chiropractor, so they wait for a doctor to bring it up first. In most cases, you can book directly and start with an assessment on your own terms. If something has been nagging at you, you do not need anyone's permission to find out what is going on. Give us a call today! 905.420.7231
