Hi friends!

Big changes to the whole model of first aid training are coming fast (June 22!) If anyone is in need of certification Or recertification mines this date, please reach out! I have a course running next weekend and willing to run another in early June! I may not be continuing my affiliation with the lifesaving society after the changes, so please reach out if you’re in need!

The Society is officially an approved training provider for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board’s new first aid program. With this exciting news comes many changes. To help us all transition to the new program, we will be providing frequent updates on our website, via email to affiliates, instructors, examiners, trainers and candidate and on social media.

Destination Paris! 🌍

The Fédération Française de Sauvetage et de Secourisme has selected three Ottawa lifeguards to be on duty at the Olympics this July and August.

We have the dynamic father-daughter duo Stéphane and Karianne Cliche, as well as the recreation superstar John Rapp, representing us this summer!

New family member coming home? If you’re new parents and have family who will help watch your baby, consider taking part in first aid training! Rest well knowing what to look for and how to treat the variety of first aid emergencies that could affect your baby! Not only am I a first aid trainer, but I’m a mom of 5! I am happy to help you feel safer with your baby 🙂 babies are welcome too!
