Mirlande is a Registered Social Worker and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with over 11 years of experience in the mental health field. She offers a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, supporting clients through anxiety, emotional regulation, identity exploration, grief, life transitions, generational trauma, and more, with a special focus on supporting BIPOC, q***r, trans, and neurodivergent folx.

Mental Health Month can be a gentle reminder to slow down and check in with yourself, and also the people we care about. 🤍

Sometimes the simplest messages can mean the most. A quick text, phone call, coffee date, or honest conversation can help someone feel seen, supported, and less alone.

If you’ve been wanting to reach out but didn’t know what to say, here are a few simple conversation starters:
• “How have things been going lately?”
• “You crossed my mind today. How are you?”
• “What’s been taking up the most space in your mind lately?”
• “Have you had space to take care of yourself lately?”
• “Is there anything you’ve been needing support with?”

You don’t need perfect words. Often, just showing up with care and curiosity is enough. ✨
