Marianne Van Oyen, Montreal Psychologist with over 25+ years of experience in a host of modalities including CBT, EMDR, Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy and Mindfulness. Hello my name is Marianne Van Oyen and I am a licensed Montreal psychologist working in the West Island in private practice for over 25 years. I have helped people cope through hardships like stress, anxiety, burnout, loss, illness, relationship struggles and other life challenges. My passion is psychology and people! I call my website Therapy For Your Life. There are 3 components:

- Discover what is missing in your life.
- Evaluate your needs and wants.
- Finding the best way to getting you to your goals. I work mainly with adolescents, adults and couples, however I do work with younger children along with their parents. My areas of expertise include: CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Gestalt Therapy, Short-Term Psychodynamic Therapy and a host of other therapies that are being added to my roster like: EMDR and Hypnotherapy. I want to bring my brand of therapy to more people. I would like to help you or your family members feel better and live healthier, more productive lives.

No words really just moved by grace, gratitude and courage; the courage of the workers to help and the courage of the whale to trust 🙏♥️

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Faralon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so badly off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her…. a very dangerous proposition. One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.
They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, thanking them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
May you be so fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you.
And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude 🙏
