When a horse crossed the finish line with its tongue sticking out... millions of people thought that's what won the race. 😂

During the 2021 Cazoo Diomed Stakes at Epsom Downs in England, 8-year-old veteran Oh This Is Us battled neck and neck with another horse in one of the closest finishes of the day.

The race was so tight that spectators, and even the jockeys, couldn't immediately tell who had won.

Only after officials reviewed the high-speed photo finish did they declare Oh This Is Us the winner. 🎉

But it wasn't the victory alone that captured the internet's attention...

At the exact moment he crossed the finish line, the horse had his tongue fully stretched out, creating a hilarious image that reminded many people of Lightning McQueen's famous finish in Cars. 😂

Despite the viral jokes, the tongue didn't determine the result.

In horse racing, only the tip of the horse's nose counts, and Oh This Is Us officially won by just a nose. 🤓

Sometimes, the smallest details create the biggest smiles—and one perfectly timed photo turned an ordinary race into an unforgettable moment. 🧡
