Did you know Heart To Heart works closely with our local Alberni Internal Medicine clinic (AIM) which provides specialized General Internal Medicine care to our community + surrounding regions? Your results are analyzed by a local internist and sent to your ordering physician.

When it comes to the care of your heart, we offer walk-in ECG's and Holter monitors by appointment only, to ensure we can offer you prompt booking and minimal wait times.

Whereas A 4D ultrasound adds movement, giving you the opportunity to see baby in real time as they stretch, yawn, smile, or move during the appointment.

Our 3D/4D non-diagnostic ultrasounds are designed for bonding and keepsake purposes, offering expecting families a meaningful glimpse of baby before birth.

For the best chance at capturing those sweet little features, many families choose to book between 28 and 32 weeks, when baby’s features are often more developed and visible.

ABI testing, or Ankle-Brachial Index testing, is a non-invasive test that compares blood pressure readings from the ankle and arm to help assess circulation in the legs.

It may be recommended when there are concerns about reduced blood flow, leg discomfort while walking, numbness, or other symptoms that warrant further assessment.

At Heart to Heart Diagnostics, ABI testing is available as a self-pay service for those looking for more information about their leg circulation.

What is a Holter monitor?

This small, wearable device records your heart’s electrical activity over a longer period of time, often while you go about your regular day.

Your healthcare provider may request a Holter monitor if they want a better picture of symptoms such as:

Heart palpitations
Dizziness
Fluttering feelings in the chest
Irregular heart rhythms
Episodes that do not always show up during a standard ECG

This test is non-invasive, and you will be given instructions on how to wear the monitor and return it once the recording period is complete.

At Heart to Heart Diagnostics, we provide a calm and supportive experience so you know what to expect every step of the way! Both ECG's and Holter Monitor testing are covered by BC Healthcare (MSP) through our clinic.

Please note, testing must be ordered by a physician and a requisition is required.

✔️ Good at multi-tasking and takes initiative
✔️ Is reliable and shows up for work consistently
✔️ Works well as part of a team, and has great communication skills both written and verbal.
✔️ Understands the atmosphere of a small business and is willing to help where needed
✔️ Believes in consistency, professionalism, and long-term commitment

Qualifications & Assets:
• Medical Office Assistant certification preferred
• Medical terminology knowledge is an asset
• Patient care experience is an asset
• Reception, customer service, and administrative experience are beneficial

We are happy to train the right person where needed and are looking for someone seeking long-term employment within a supportive small business environment.
