Virgo and Hestia

Personally, I think the Goddess Hestia is a great representation of Virgo energy. As the Goddess of Home and Hearth, Hestia rules over Domestic Order and all the attention to detail that goes into proper Household Management. Hestia wants you to be well fed, well rested, and prepared for whatever you will face each day - and this preparation begins at home. Hestia teaches us that our homes benefit us the most when they are a place we can truly recover and heal from the stresses of the world.

But creating and maintaining a home environment that is truly restful and healing will take some work and attention to detail. We all know that it takes some sacrifice, some hard work, and a lot of devotion to keep a home in proper running order! There is the cooking and cleaning, the grocery shopping, maintaining the repairs, growing the garden, defending the home from pests and predators, fixing what is broken, and expanding the home when needs change. In other words - everyone must contribute and ideally everyone will have a job to do to keep the Domestic Order!

While it is a lot of work and sounds a bit overwhelming, the benefits of a cozy and safe home base are priceless! Hestia doesn't want you to work and labor away your time for nothing - She reminds us that your home is the sacred temple for you and your family! This isn't about keeping up appearances for the neighbors or being perfect for your mother. It's about devoting time and service to your own health and well being. You deserve a place where you can truly rest, recover, heal, love, and be nourished. You are worthy of the effort it takes to maintain your wellness!

I had a great time yesterday at Carson’s Crystals. I wanted to say thank you to Deedree Carson for hosting me and to all those who shared their lives with me.
