🩺 Not every skin lesion is harmless. Early evaluation matters.

Skin lesions are common, but not all are the same. While many are benign, some are precancerous or cancerous, making early diagnosis essential.

Common benign skin lesions include:
• Skin Tags (Acrochordons)
• Seborrheic Keratoses
• Cherry Angiomas
• Epidermoid Cysts
• Dermatofibromas
• Sebaceous Hyperplasia
• Common Warts (Verrucae)
• Benign Moles (Melanocytic Nevi)
• Solar Lentigines (Age Spots)

Precancerous lesions:
⚠️ Actinic Keratosis (AK): Often caused by long-term sun exposure and may progress to Squamous Cell Carcinoma if left untreated.

The most common skin cancers include:
🔹 Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC): The most common skin cancer. It usually grows slowly but can cause significant local tissue damage if untreated.

🔹 Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC): May grow more aggressively and, in some cases, spread to nearby lymph nodes or other parts of the body.

🔹 Melanoma: The most serious form of skin cancer. Early detection greatly improves treatment outcomes.

🚩 Seek medical evaluation if you notice:
• A new or rapidly growing lesion
• Changes in the size, shape, or color of a mole
• Irregular borders or multiple colors
• Bleeding, crusting, or ulceration
• Persistent itching or pain
• A sore that doesn’t heal
