Congratulations to our wonderful midwife Bree 💕!

Thank you all for your kind wishes and support. We’re so happy to share that she welcomed her beautiful baby girl, Ellie, on a lovely sunny day ☀️ Surrounded by the support of her family and friends, she had a peaceful home water birth, and both are doing wonderfully.

We are pleased to welcome Emily Pepper, RM to our team!
She will be starting this week and we look forward to her meeting and caring for all of our clients. Please see her bio below to learn more about her.

My name is Emily (she/her) and I am delighted to joining Greenway Midwifery as a Registered Midwife. I acknowledge the privilege it is to be working on the traditional territories of the Kwikwetlem First Nation, within the shared and overlapping territories of the Tsleil-Waututh, Katzie, Musqueam, Qayqayt, Squamish, Stó:lō nations. As a birth worker, I honour the Indigenous birth workers who have cared for and continue to care for families on this land and commit to ongoing learning and respectful practice.

I completed my midwifery education at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and decided to make the move to start practice in beautiful British Columbia. I have enjoyed serving the Tri-Cities and New Westminster communities, and am looking forward to my new role working with the team at Greenway! I have been drawn to reproductive health and pregnancy from a young age, so working as a midwife is both a dream come true and a deep privilege.

I look forward to walking alongside families as they navigate their unique journeys through pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. It is an honour to support clients with compassionate, individualized care during such a meaningful and transformative time.

Our midwife Bree is pregnant! We are so happy for her 💚

Next week will be her last official week working full-time before she heads off on maternity leave. Over the next few months, Bree will be slowing down as she prepares for baby’s arrival. She may continue to do some clinic appointments, home visits, and take call as she feels well enough to do so.

If you see her, please help us celebrate and pass along your congratulations! We’ll miss her while she’s away, but we’re wishing her all the very best during this special time. And don’t worry — she’ll be back with us in a year! 💕
