be loved nutrition Christina is a holistic nutritionist, yoga teacher, doula and mother supporting pregnancy, postpartum, infancy & childhood. This is my passion and my purpose.

I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Yoga Guide (prenatal and mom & baby), Doula and Mother and I have a special interest in supporting families before and during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood. My support as a Holistic Nutritionist goes beyond the food ingested and incorporates the person as a whole, physical, emotional and spiritual being. I recognize each person I work with as an i

ndividual and address their health needs in a way that is focused, practical and realistic for their unique goals and lifestyle. What a responsibility and joy it is to be blessed with the opportunity to help guide and nurture a piece of the future. Giving our children the best possible start in life sets them up for a healthy, balanced, and happy life.

I remember turning 10.
It felt significant.
How is my baby 10 years old.
Our wise little buddah.
So sweet.
His dimples.
His mischievous smile.
He blows me away.
The things he says floor me... they are either so wise or so unhinged.

Every year I share his birth story with him.
So grateful for the birth team I so intentionally curated for his entrance into this world. Having a home birth after cesarean was no small feat.
Finding a birth  team that was open to a pregnancy and birth that was as intervention free as possible was no small feat. This was one of the most empowering, intense, beautiful and emotional experiences of my life. What an initiation.

He came to me more clearly than anything I've every experienced. He knew he was meant to be here at precisely this time.

10 years Earth side together...
God only knows how many lifetimes together.
Grateful beyond words.

And then this sacred day happened...

Our Sacred Union at the stunning Holy Rosary Cathedral.

Rewind a little....
When I turned 25 I was sent flowers, on my birthday, while I was studying on a small Greek island. He promised I'd always get me flowers on my birthday....but we weren't together at the time.... and also, I was in GREECE. Little did we know that that gesture was powerful beyond understanding. Should I dig up a photo of these infamous flowers 😉✨️

Fast forward...
On this day 16 years ago,  Father Dion married us and I absolutely adored every minute of this ceremony.

I poured so much into planning this day that I completely let go of any expectations throughout the day and allowed the day to flow as it was meant to.

I was in so much joy.

At that point in time, it was the happiest day of my life... because since then two blessings have come into our lives.

It truly keeps getting better.

More in love today than ever before.

Grateful for our love.

Our Sacred union and commitment wasn't one or the other.

It was the beginning of compromise and honouring and understanding each other in a deep way.

He believed I needed to become Catholic in order to marry him.

This didn't feel right because it didn't align with my own values - and not because I didn't believe in God or sacred religious figures (far from it) but because it didn't feel fully aligned and I could never begin a marriage doing something because I felt I "had to". Especially something this sacred, intentional, and important. It initially felt sticky buy we worked through it.

The compromise for me was that I promised to raise our children Catholic. I agreed to this with the understanding that they would always have respect for Mama's values and beliefs...and that as they grew up, they would always have choice.

Something that felt important was to also have a sacred ceremony that felt aligned for me and my family.

Our hearts were open to both.

My Uncle Pete, an elder in the Native American Church, came up from down south to marry us in a traditional Mechica wedding.

It was intimate. It was sacred. It was intentional. It was foundational to building a life where we not only truly honoured each other but also our families.

It was one of the most beautiful, powerful, sacred ceremonies that deeply honoured our union and the intention, honesty, compromise, respect and love that we were entering into.

I'm so grateful for this man.
I'm so proud of us.
I love us.
16 years.

One week later, we were married in a traditional Catholic wedding... which is tomorrow.

I'm so grateful for this man.
I'm so proud of us.
I love us.
16 years.

The noise of the patriarchy can be loud...

• be consistent
• be productive
• more output
• same every day
• push through

Over ride what your body is speaking to you.

Under it all...
• I'm not enough
• I'm not worthy
• Don't be lazy
• How come "they" can do it all (comparison)
• I didn't "do" enough today
• I'm late

Guilt, Shame, Pressure, Expectations...

When I heard Zoey Sky | SEP® • Female Nervous System share:

Women are not designed for consistency.
Women are rhythmic.

Even though, I know this. It just landed differently this time.

It felt so permission giving.

There is so much to say about this but I'm going to leave this here. I'm curious what it stirs in you.

For me, even though I have done my own work in the past few years beginning to dismantle a lot of my conditioning and stories...there are more layers of honouring my sacred rhythmic and reclaiming my sovereignty.

I'm in a sacred container Somatic Healing Training & Certification with Zoey Sky | SEP® • Female Nervous System where we're diving into our body, the female body, the female nervous system.... and reclaiming the rhythms of being a woman.

As I move through this container, my intention is to share some of the wisdom that comes through and lands for me.

Maybe it's something I've heard or learned before, but is now landing in a deeper way, and is settling in my body and received in a new way. It's nuanced. It usually is.

I won't have it perfect or all figured out and that's not the point. Sharing is a part of my process and becoming. Its a part of my processing and integration. I'll forever be a student.... and for me, this work is layered and beyond the cerebral.

My Somatic Way Diaries & how I'm reclaiming my sovereignty.

Currently, we're in the Summer of Sovereignty within The Sacred Uprising. A women's community that I co-steward. A movement. An ecosystem for sovereignty-hearted women.

My phone died filming this...part of me wanted to refilm it...to say things differently, explain that better, find better words.

But then I remembered...

It doesn't have to be perfect. I don't have to be perfect. I won't always have the perfect language and this is what came through 💁‍♀️

As you'll often hear me say...

"In all my beauty and all my mess"

I wanted to shout-out to Christina Beatty, who has recently been courageously sharing about how the body and nervous system are a bridge to God.

At first, it didn't quite land for me but it planted a seed.

Then the other night while sitting around the fire with my husband sharing with him about The Somatic Way...the AHA moment.

This work is another way I am reclaiming my sovereignty and my connection to God.

It suddenly made so much sense to me...

When we're disconnected from our bodies, our nervous systems, and our inner knowing, we're disconnected from God. The "conspiracy theorist" in me believes this is an intentional part of a darker plan 😬. We've learned to bypass discomfort, ignore our intuition, and carry shame, fear, and guilt...And so much busyness. It's easy to not give ourselves the time or space to process, integrate, or truly listen and connect with God. I trust this will to deepen for me.

I'm realizing that stepping into my fullest authority means beginning to come back home to my body.

A big way we give our power away is from the stories we tell ourselves about where power lives.

"The powers that be..." you heard me say...

Even in that phrase, I realized how easily I hand my power over.

No more.

I am the power that gets to choose.

I am reclaiming my sovereignty and my voice.

I wanted to create this post because four months from now, I want to come back and meet this version of myself again.

To see her, hear her, feel her.

To witness the woman standing at the edge of this portal before stepping into Somatic Healing Training & Certification.

Whether you get it. Or not 😉
Whether you're like "what the heck is she doing?" or "Dang, I'm inspired"

I mean, I don't fully get it either, but it's been a long time coming... and it feels liberating.

Thanks for following along.
I've been inspired to share my voice and create.

For fun.
For a purpose that's still revealing itself.
Not because I have to.
Not because there are expectations.
Not because it's easy.

Because I feel inspired.
Because it feels important. For me. Right now.
That might shift.
I'm sure it will.

For now, thanks for following along.
Honestly.
It's meaningful.

I mean, a girl can hope she is inspiring ✨️
