🎉 15 YEARS OF STRENGTH, HOPE, & FREEDOM 🎉
Today, our entire team at Hope for Freedom Society is pausing to celebrate a truly monumental milestone. Our Client Services Director, Mark F., is celebrating 15 years of continuous sobriety today!
Every single day, Mark brings immense empathy, lived experience, and dedication to our organization. He walks alongside our clients, helping them navigate their own journeys toward freedom from addiction with grace and understanding. Knowing that Mark walks this path with 15 years of resilience and "one day at a time" dedication makes his impact on our community even more profound.
Mark, we are so incredibly proud of you, grateful for your leadership, and honored to stand beside you. Thank you for showing all of us—and everyone who walks through our doors—what grit, grace, and true recovery look like in action.
Please join us in the comments below in congratulating Mark on 15 beautiful years of sobriety! 💙🌟

Hope for Freedom Society wishes to express our sincere condolences following the tragic loss of John L., a dedicated member of the Port Coquitlam Bylaw Department. Our organizations have shared a long and meaningful partnership over many years, and our homeless outreach team works closely with their bylaw officers on a regular basis. John’s professionalism, compassion, and steady presence were deeply appreciated by our staff and by the community he served.

We stand with his colleagues, friends, and family in grief and solidarity during this difficult time. For those who would like to offer support, the family has established a GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/81e1fe405

1095 days of choosing herself, doing the hard work, and showing up for life, HFFS has watched Kira rebuild and heal with so much grace and resilience, then turn around and share recovery with others.
At beach day with the women of HFFS Kira is celebrating- and being celebrated - for achieving 3 years clean and sober.
Congratulations, Kira, we are so proud of you!

Every journey to freedom deserves to be celebrated.
Every few months, we gather for our Journey to Freedom Graduation. It is a powerful moment where we honour men and women stepping into a new chapter of hope, healing and purpose.
But the most moving part?
Their stories.
Shared with honesty and courage, each one is a reminder that no one is ever too far gone to find freedom.
For many, it wasn’t their first attempt.
Or their second.
Sometimes it was their tenth… or fifteenth.
And often, the difference was simple: time.
At Hope for Freedom, we don’t believe in quick fixes. We believe in walking the long road with people doing the hard work of recovery.
As one of our Alumni, Luke, shares: “You are never shamed for coming back… you’re welcomed with open arms.”
Because of you, that door stays open.
Because of you, people get the time they need to try again and succeed.
Thank you for being part of these stories of freedom. 💙

Freedom takes time. Your support makes it possible.
When Luke came to Hope for Freedom, he knew recovery wouldn’t be easy. He knew it might take more than one try. But he also knew he’d find something here that changed everything: time.
“Because there’s no rush to finish, I was given the time I needed to actually build a new life.”
Your support gives people like Luke the space to heal, grow, and rebuild their lives here at Hope for Freedom — one day at a time.
A gift of $50 can provide a safe place to sleep, meals and the support someone needs to begin their journey to freedom.
Every recovery journey starts with a first step.

Will you help someone take theirs today?

Mother’s Day is bigger than one title — especially in recovery.

Today we honour the moms who are rebuilding their lives, the mothers‑in‑law who stand steady, the foster moms who open their homes, and the surrogates who give the gift of life.

We see the women fighting for their families.
We see the women choosing healing, one day at a time.
We see the women who show up with courage even when the road is hard.

Your love matters. Your recovery matters. Your role in your family’s story matters.
Hope for Freedom stands with every mother walking the path of restoration and new beginnings.

Happy Mother’s Day to all who mother with strength, grace, and resilience.

Huge congratulations to Jesse A. on 4 years sober.
Jesse doesn’t just talk about recovery — he shows what it looks like. Whether he’s supporting men one‑on‑one, guiding new intakes, or training the next group coming through our doors, he leads with honesty and strength.

Your journey inspires our community, Jesse. Thank you for the way you serve.
