Assessment has value. So does access to treatment.

A thorough assessment helps us understand why you’re experiencing symptoms. But many symptoms don’t improve through knowledge or willpower alone.

Stress, pain, digestive issues, headaches, muscle tension—even anxiety—often have a real, physical component. The nervous system, muscles, connective tissue, and organs can become “stuck” in patterns that make it harder for your body to respond to all the healthy things you’re doing.

That’s where body-based treatments like acupuncture can help. By calming the nervous system and influencing how the body functions, treatment can help remove some of the barriers to healing.

Acupuncture doesn’t replace the work you do at home—it helps your body respond better to the work you do at home. Diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, and supplements are all important, but they often work better when the body is in a better state to receive and respond to those inputs.

That’s the idea behind Community Acupuncture: making it easier to receive consistent, body-based treatment that supports everything else you’re already doing.

17 years of acupuncture experience… and yes, I still treat myself.

If plantar fasciitis just won’t go away despite trying everything else, acupuncture may be the missing piece.

Waking up between 1–3 a.m. with your mind already running?

For some people, it’s not a lack of sleep—it’s a nervous system that stays on alert through the night. Research suggests phosphatidylserine may help moderate the stress response and support healthier cortisol patterns, making it easier to stay asleep when the body would otherwise shift into “fight or flight.”

Sometimes the goal isn’t to force sleep. It’s to help the nervous system feel safe enough to keep sleeping.

Your body doesn’t just “randomly” wake you up at 3 AM.

Drops or instability in blood sugar can be perceived as stress by the brain, triggering adrenaline + cortisol release to push blood sugar back up.

The side effect?
You’re now alert enough to wake up.

Sleep physiology is deeply tied to metabolic stability.
