Physicians who choose to work in eligible rural communities may qualify for a range of recruitment and retention incentives designed to support their transition and long-term success.

Depending on the community, available benefits may include:

- Sponsored community site visits
- Recruitment incentives
- Relocation cost reimbursement
- Annual retention payments
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) funding

These incentives are available through the Ministry of Health's Rural Recruitment Contingency Fund and are designed to support physicians as they establish their practice and settle into their new community.

Have you seen our new Public Health Building in Port McNeill? 😀

More space for care is coming to Port McNeill.

A new public health building arrived in late May and is now being built beside the health centre. When it is finished, it will provide space for services like immunizations, youth clinics, and public health nursing. It will also free up space at the health centre for primary care.

This will help local health teams better support people in the community.
